Sick but scrapping

So I have been off work sick this week due to a virus making me vomit more than I ever have before! It has however given me some time to do some scrapping as I have not had the energy to do anything else! I have done 3 LO's...

This is a LO of my day at the Ballan cup a few months ago. I was a winner on the day overall but kept my losing ticket stubs to use as embellishments on a LO so that is what I did!

This is a vertical 8.5 x 11 inch LO of a stone sculpture cut into the side of a building. There were dozens of these all over Cologne and their detail was just amazing. This 1 was my favourite and is a little boy and girl sitting on a ledge.

This is a LO of some geese in a church garden courtyard in Barcelona that were clearly in love and had stood together so that their necks made a heart shape. Thankfully I capture it just in time and even managed to frame the photo with the lovely ornate arch in the background.

A bit of scrapping

Hi all. Well I got off to a good start for 2011 with a bit of scrapping this week. I have decided I really need to get through some of my old travel photos so made a start on them.

This is a LO of the house that Anne Frank and her family hid in during the war until their capture. I remember reading Anne Frank's book whilst at school and was really amazed by it so when I found myself stood inside the very house that she had written her diaries I was a bit overcome.

The picture doesn't really show it but the bottom left detail is a lovely glittery printed PP and the additional butterflies are from my lovely new Martha Stewart butterfly punch that I got for Christmas and just had to use!!

This photo was taken in Cologne and is of their unique water pipe system...ABOVE ground! We played a daily game of follow the blue pipe through Cologne city centre. I kept the LO fairly simple and just used different alphas to bring interest to the page.

Another LO from Cologne, this time with me posing with a giant Lindt chocolate bunny at the Lindt factory. I love Lindt chocolate bunnies and get 1 for Easter every year so fell in love with the giant bunny and "hopped" (excuse the pun) into his enclosure they had built so I could pose for a photo with him! I saved 1 of the red ribbon and bells from my bunny so that I could decorate my LO with it.

Merry Christmas to me

So as a late Christmas present to myself I finally bought myself a new (for me) car. It is a 2004 Holden Astra convertible and is still in need of a name (Bert has been suggested due to it being a Bertone limited edition but I am just not feeling Bert) So all suggestions are gratefully received. The unfortunate thing is that ever since I bought a convertible, it has poured rain! On the same day as I bought my car I also bought myself a 42 inch SONY LED TV so that would have to go down as my most expensive day on the planet up until this point! Now to start saving for a home loan (gulp)
